For exposed areas like outside doors, window doors, or wooden surfaces exposed on sunlight or other weather conditions, polishes used are different then that used for indoors. To say, Melamine polish, PU polish, Polyester polish prove unfruitful if applied on wood surfaces exposed to different weather conditions.
For such exposed areas, Open pore Rubio Monocoat polish is the best solution. But here in India the open pore concept is not readily accepted and opt for closed pore polishes only. The closed pore polishes i.e. melamine polish or Pu polish are not that durable as open pore monocoat polish for exposed wooden surfaces. The closed pore polish may last for say 2-3 years if applied on exposed wooden areas, but the open pore Monocoat polish will last for 10-15 years. You see the difference!!! Open pore polishes are breathable polish.
