I am getting my house furnished and want to check on a very critical part.

I plan to paint the inner portion of the cabinets and wardrobes with enamel/oil paint instead of using the laminates. Can you pls guide me on the same.

I am looking for quality and durability with good life rather than display.

Request a quick response as i am in a hurry to finalise the same.

If suggested paint, then should it be oilpaint / enamel/brand etc inputs pls

Lot of people opt for low cost white laminate on inner side of wardrobe & all other furniture. It makes it look clean & white usually makes it look/appear big in space.

Remember interior designing is lot about playing visual perception. White laminates does the job.

If you have decided to go ahead with old fashioned oil based polish, do explore “Rubio Monocoat” it is new & very promising product. Chances are your local carpenter may not have heard about it. Call us if you want to know more about rubio.

A regular Oil polish is also fine solution, only thing is it makes inner space dark. And yes need to repeat oil polishing every other year or so.

Really appreciate the quick reply, i am told by one interior that the cost difference of both in just a saving of 10k on an overall wood work of 550 sqt. One interior states that if i want inner as laminate it would cost 150 per sqft. I.e., 550*150 = aporox 82.5k extra. Totally confused, pls guide who is right
