Electrical ignition mechanism is usually found in latest design cooktops and Built-in-Hobs. Electric ignition mechanism uses electric sparks to ignite the burners. You can hear a “clicking sound “just before the hob is lit. On turning the burner knob at an angle or to a position where “LITE” is written, a flame would be seen. Once the burner is lit with flame, you can turn the knob to control the flame as needed. For electric ignition hob, an electric connection is created which gets concealed just before the hob is installed.
