Question – Can Italian furniture prove to be durable for Indian weather conditions?

Ms. Sadhana – Oh yes. Italian furniture, as name suggests I made in Italy, Europe. As like India Italy too is surrounded with water / sea from 3 sides. This is a very good point of discussion sisnce its very important to know if the furniture is well suited to meet different climatic conditions span world.

Well coming back to Italy since it is surrounded by water as like India, there are similar climatic conditions in each of the countries. The weather is constantly changing and there is high moisture and humidity too. Well moisture is a very important factor when it comes to furniture and furniture making. Moisture can majorly affect the furniture and its durability. Excessive moisture can damage the furniture completely. The wooden furniture especially are can suspect mold and mildew formation.

Italian furniture is made keeping all these different aspects of weather i.e. moisture, heat, humidity, etc. in account and made to meet different climatic conditions.

Discussing the Climatic conditions

Italy too gets really hot in summers as like in India. The temperature rises to around 36 degrees to 37 degrees. And sometime say in August the weather is so hot that many companies, offices, etc. are shut for 2-3 weeks. People prefer travelling to beach sides or mountains during such weather.

People often are mistaken by assuming that Europe is a cold country. Well there are some countries where it snows and is very cold like Spain. But that’s exactly like some states in India like Delhi where you get to see extreme weather conditions like either it’s too cold or extremely hot there. Similarly the north of Europe and higher altitude areas snows every year. You also have Places like Venice that is majorly under water. Europe itself one can experience different types of weather conditions. Italian furniture made in Italy, Europe is thus made to endure such variable climatic conditions. It, Italian furniture therefore surely can prove to be durable enough to sustain Indian climatic conditions.
