I recently purchased a flat in Mumbai. On visiting the site under construction, I found that there are no lofts given for any rooms and especially for additional Sintex tanks too. What is the reason for not giving lofts as they serve best as storage space?
Lofts are out-of-date now. In newly built projects, not only builders but also few home-owners prefer loft free concept with modern interior and furniture. There are a few builders who charge you for loft construction. But with towers emerging in modern India, the ceiling height has gone lower. With smaller ceiling heights, having lofts cuts down you’re your bathroom height even more and many architects , designers & contractors personally feel that it spoils the look of the room.
Also with taller buildings, 24hrs water supply is made available. With 24hr water supply, there’s no need for syntax tank for extra storage. Therefore builders do not provide with loft even in bathrooms. But it has been observed that once the flat is handed over to home-owners, few prefer of them get syntax tank installed to be on a safer side
yes exactly… agreed … but now a days loft tanks r must … so want to know more options about how to create a space for loft tank without fitting iron rod base or without breaking the walls … I heard about folding kind of base are now available for loft tank to sit … plz help wit more information about it..or if any other ideas if possible to make loft tank sit overhead…
