There are basically 4 natural stones that are popularly used as flooring in Indian homes.
- Marble Flooring – Marble is the most expensive natural stone, however it is the most demanded stone in Indian homes as flooring. Marble is available in form of slabs, tiles and blocks. The cost of the marble depends on colour, design and size and is the most durable stone of all. Mantaining marble to ts shine and whiteness needs loads of patience and time. But it still is the favourite of all.
- Tiles Flooring – The raw materials used to make tiles are obtained from earth and digging mines. There are various patterns and designs to choose from that are easily available these days. Tiles like rustic, ceramic floor tiles, vinyl, mosaic, etc. are used in houses. Tiles give a very contemporary feel to homes.
- Laminated Flooring – Laminate flooring is quite popluar in big homes, perhaps because it is easier to install and maintain than more any other surfaces such as hardwood flooring. These are scratch resistant, durable and easy to clean and come with minimum 10 ear warranty.
- Concrete Flooring – This kind of flooring is ideal for industries and factories. Concrete flooring can withstand any amount of weight and pressure unlike other flooring. They come in various colours and one can add different patterns, textures and cuts to it. They come in affordable prices and look sophisticated.
