Which part of country/city you have completed Civil Projects and what kind of projects where these?
Most of the work I do I get through reference from past customers. I have been doing lot of work in Borivali and nearby area since last few years. However I have done Home Renovation projects in almost all parts of Mumbai.

I have done B.Com from MK Commerce college. While studying I use to spend time learning Civil work from my Dad and family friends. I was suppose to support family and help my dad. Within short period of time I had mastered Home Renovation related work. My first project was in Andheri MHADA at Lokhandwala, one of my friend Mr Pankaj Jhadhav, referred me this work. Ever since then I have done lot of work with Pankaj and many peopel from Construction Industry. Started as a simple Labour incharge and slowly moved in to shoe of Civil Contractor.
Today I get all shorts of projects. mainly Home Renovation in Mumbai. Includes civil, carpentry, p.o.p (plaster of paris), plumbing etc.

How does Construction Material differ in your projects?
It all depends on client and client’s budget. At times architect makes decision. And you can buy construction material  in different range.

For eg: Granemite Tiles (Artificially made tiles which give feeling of granite), is very common amongst economic budget projects. These come in 2’o”x2’o” size for flooring, ranges from 35 to 45 rupees sq.ft, single body tiles.  People who have bigger budget they go for Italian Marble.

Any recommendations for Water Proofing solution for typical 1 BHK or 2 BHK homes in Mumbai?
Today there are various solutions available in market. Some of the popular ones are – Dr FIXIT products by Pidilite,  Baiq, Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, EPDM etc. Every Contractor has his own favorite choice. I usually strongly recommend Silicate based solutions. In last 10 years I have had very good track record and customer satisfaction.

Gypsum Borad

[Or] POP(Plaster of Paris) – What do you recommend?
You can buy Gypsau Boards of branded company and they do good job. Quality is good and they are pretty robust. Plaster of Paris is good and economic but it falls in to low range. POP channels bend after few years. I highly recommend Gypsum boards compared to POP because they would last twice without any faults. You would end up spending ~10 rupees more per square feet with Gypsum when compared to POP.
